SUMMIT DAY RELATED
For those backpacking to the Summit on 7/23. If you plan ahead with your meals for Dinner 7/23 and Breakfast and lunch for 7/24 we can have the horses bring those up to us so you do not have to carry those all week with you. If you would like to take advantage of this, please have those meals separated AT BASECAMP in a stuff sack with your name on them. There will be a bin marked SUMMIT DAY in the Uhaul. This is where they should go.
WHO’S WHO
Have questions? Here are the people to ask.
Here are overviews of each of the trails. If you want to get a sense for your hikes and the terrain watch these.
Backpacking 101
If it has been awhile since you’ve backpacked, we have a brief review of Backpacking 101. Josh and I just scouted out the 2-mile Moraine Lake trail last year and I forgot my hiking boots, trekking poles, had no sunscreen or bug repellant, and we lost the trail a dozen times in the snow. Please brush up and don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions or need tips. We have many specialists with us.
