Logistics Coordinator

for the 2019 Summer Summit expedition

Start: Mid June- August 30th, 4 days a week.  
Compensation: $85-100 day rate, DOE.
Note* Aug 13-22nd required days on location in Sisters Wilderness.  

Who we are: See You at the Summit is a non-profit that empowers teenagers affected by cancer through wilderness experiences. We are a small team with a large mission. 

Who you are: 
This summer we are looking for a temporary logistics coordinator.  We need a person to step into this new role and help us accomplish our 9-day trip and summit with 12 teenagers navigating cancer
•      Seasoned outdoor leader with logistics experiences for backpacking trips for large groups of people.
•      High level of responsibility, ingenuity, and initiative.   
•      Responsibilities will include preparing all of our logistical systems including food, equipment, and transportation.
•      Planning, purchasing, and organizing field appropriate and culturally competent meals.
•      Seeking donations where relevant and available. 
•      Possible Management of a team 4-6 volunteers
•      Managing the organization, function, and availability of backpacking, camping equipment, including clothing, first aid supplies, stoves, and technical equipment
•      Collaborating with staff to pack and prepare all field-going food and equipment
•      Coordinating vehicle use
•      Supporting expedition safety team with logistics.
•      Management of participant forms and paperwork
•      Comfortable working outdoors, regardless of weather or season
•      Comfortable with general camping skills and camping in mountain environments.
•      Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail
•      Open to experiential education and concepts used to deliver curriculum.  
•      Report to executive director, however must be able to work independently
